No [white cell] counts yet - they don't expect that for weeks.
Hair hasn't fallen out yet - that usually starts soon.
Looks like infection is under control.
His poor tastebuds are shot - so his food doesn't taste the same. Things he always liked he now thinks taste yucky.
He gets all excited about putting something into his mouth, and then spits it out. So they put him on TPN (IV nutrition)
until his appetite picks up.
Diaper rash is pretty nasty yet - looks like maybe it was a yeast infection
- so we are treating it differently, and they put him on IV fluconazole (spelling?) to guard against that going anywhere else.
Diarrhea is clearing up slowly, and he is having other two-year old behavioural adjustments to hospital life (grin).
