15 plus years ago I gave birth to a son who "they" too whisked off
to another hospital because of some abnormalities, not cancer, in
fact "they" thought maybe it was a genetic condition. As Matthew
nears 16 years of age we still have no diagnosis, we go through the
day to day challenges that face every family and the additional
"special" challenges that face families like ours. Every once in
awhile I go on a search of the elusive condition that my son suffers
from, I don't know what answers I hope to find, sometimes the living
without an answer is what I struggle with most, the NOT knowing and
NOT understanding.
Matt's condition is completely unrelated to cancer and yet one
of these searches brought me to your web page today. I see the
glowing face of your BEAUTIFUL son and read the loving bond you
share with him, it's easy to see why he's such a favored patient,
through his treatments he has known nothing but love!! I am a
fellow believer in Christ and will continue to watch the story of
your family unfold and add all of you to my daily prayers. -

Thu, 16 Nov 2006 19:55:46 - Dear Jaymun, You have such an amazing Mom and Dad, and your brothers and sister
are so excited to think about the day you come home for good. That's what people all over are praying for you Jaymun.
You're a sweet little fellow, so patient and forgiving of all the difficult things you're going through.
I check in on your story (written so well by your mommy) often, and pray for you whenever I do.
May your sweet nature, a gift from God, not be affected by all that you have endured.
Many prayers and christian love,
Nancy Peacock (and family) Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA
(I heard about your story through Jody Ferlak - nitty.gritty blog)
Fri, 17 Nov 2006 13:50:51 - I have just found your website and read a few journal entries - I will pray for Jaymun and your family everyday. Just remember he is in good hands - God's and the Doctors. I hope he recovers fully after the bone marrow transplant - your story has really touched my life. As a single mother of a son - I can only imagine what you go through every day.
He is such a beautiful little guy. May God bless you all!
With lots of love,
Jenny in South Africa.

Thu, 16 Nov 2006 22:32 - Hi! I was reading Jody Ferlaak's journal and she had the link to yours and
I just wanted to say....then I got to the word "say" and I'm without words!
I'm a follower of Christ and I really, really don't have words except to say I have tears reading your words and I "know" that your eloquence can only
come from your relationship from a Sovereign God!! Lord, please bless this family and if you can find it in your will~~please
heal this little boy so he can be healthy and grow up to be the man you created him to be! Thank you Lord that you gave him to this family!! Thank
you for his brothers and sisters and his mom and dad. Thank you for the doctors and the insurance that is paying the bills. Thank you too for the technology so his mom can pour out her heart here! Amen!!!
Blessings to you from a
"sister" in Christ.

Your faith in this time of tribulation is truly an inspiration to me. So many times I forget that God is in control and get frustrated in the small things. Seeing your trust and love for Jesus is truly inspiring and humbling. I pray that God uses Jaymun as a chance to truly show off. I am sure that your faith is touching the lives of everyone who cares for Jaymun. Who knows how many may be led to the Lord through your faith. I will continue to pray for you and check for updates.

Hi! I found your website through someone's blog and wanted to stop and say Hello! I'm a cancer mom too and wanted you to know I would be praying for your family and checking on Jaymun every day. My son is now cancer free and had a different type of cancer, but that doesn't mean that I don't know how you feel or where you're coming from! It's so hard. I was lucky enough to read the entry about your conversation with your son at bedtime before checking out the website. It's so hard to explain to kids why this happens but what a wonderful way to do it! I'll keep checking on you and keeping all of you in my prayers!

Wed, 15 Nov 2006 09:57 - Dear Jaymun-
It's hard to know what you're fighting for when you're so young and when
you've known nothing else. But just as much as this is a trial for your
family, it has obviously united them in a Godly way and despite your
frailty, how much strength and influence you've had in perfecting God's
design for love with those around you. You earthly father, who year's ago
experienced this love when heaven's gate was so near may have never known
how much a father can love a son until your arrival. As God works in you and
through you, know that amidst your pain is more love than most experience in
a lifetime. While our hands close in prayer for you, God's hands are always
open, always healing and always perfecting.
Love, The Jacobsons
